Numbers On My Phone That Will Never Ring Again!

I was listening to a hip hop collabo album by Jay Electronica and Jay Z called 'A Written Testimony' that got released on March 13, 2020 and there is a song that really got me thinking. It's the last track on the album, A.P.I.D.T.A, which is an acronym for 'All Praise Is Due To Allah'.
Death of close ones is the hard topic the song addresses and the crazy thing is that it was recorded the night Kobe Brayant passed away on that tragic helicopter crash. To get a clear view of what the two artists were trying to communicate to the masses, here is a part of the chorus:
"I got numbers in my phone that'll never ring again
'Cause Allah done sent them home, and they'll never— uh
I got— I got numbers on my phone that'll never ring again
'Cause Allah done called them home, so until we sing again
I got texts in my phone that'll never ping again
I screenshot 'em so I got 'em, I don't want this thing to—
I got numbers in my phone that'll never ring again...."
So I was going through my contacts and I found out that I have three numbers of friends and family members that have passed away. One was a girl I used to know back when I was in high school. The other one was my closest cousin and we used to spend a lot of time together partying and having fun (I miss him to death). Last but definitely not least, one of my closest friends passed away just a few months ago when we were still on lockdown and I didn't get to go to his funeral. I know this will haunt me forever! RIP. I can't seem to bring myself to deleting them from my contacts. Some part of me feels like I'm letting them down or losing them all over again, so I keep them. I don't want it to end.
