Yes, men (males ... guys ... boys) are painting their fingernails now ... according to Gentlemen's Quarterly (GQ ... if that's still what those letters stand for). It's described in a relatively short 'editorial' (or is it just "an 'article' written by one of the editors"), but--as is the habit for many--I just looked at the headings & the pictures & judge the whole article on that (before I read it out of "a sense of duty" or something) It says "The Next Wave of Men's Grooming Is Shiny and Lacquered," with a subheading that says 'all you need is a bottle of nail-polish.' And--while one or two of the 'sets of painted fingers' are monotone--most of the fingernails pictured are little works of art. Reading a little bit of the article, I see they mention that the trend spiked 'during the 'quarantining' (maybe I should call it the 'self-isolation,' but I'm pretty sure most people don't self-isolate willingly)---the guys would be busier 'working hard' or 'club-hopping' or 'buying-`90s Giorgio Armani suits or -vintage IKEA furniture,' but--with nothing else to do, but their fingernails providing a canvas & their wives'/girlfriends' nail-polish there to use--they let the artistic urge thrive!
