Things we used to take for granted

My birthday is next week. I usually invite a small group of people. Sometimes I cook and sometimes we go to a restaurant. This year I am doing things in a different way. I am only going to invite one friend at a time. Next Saturday one of my best friends is coming. The restaurants in my area are open, but I prefer to eat at home. We will buy some take out and eat it at home. I might choose the Mexican restaurant in my area, but I haven't decided yet. Like the rest of the world we have been practicing social distancing most of the this year. We have found other ways to stay in touch like long phonecalls, facetime or emails, but I am really excited about meeting my friend in person. We used to meet pretty often and do many things together. This year that hasn't been possible. In the past I wouldn't have been that excited about meeting a friend, but now I really look forward to seeing him and talking to him in person.

That's a good idea to meet just one person. You could extend your birthday until you run out of friends. lol Hope you have a great day.
