My computer at home services me for more or less 10 years already. No wonder it is super slow now. It is part of my used to be 14 units of computer for my bankrupted computer shop business then... Glad I still have one around... I have sold a number of them but most was destroyed by time already...

My old desktop computer which is more than 10 years of use was already not functioning. It went to the junk shop.

I see... Well out of my 14 unit only 5 manage to function after 10 years. I've sold 2 of them.

Quite a workplace you have there, the frames are mementos of cherished family moments.
The computer business boomed for a while, but not all prospered because the technology developed so fast. I think the comp shops within the vicinity of the schools did, for the students were learning computers.
Plan on buying a good laptop soon. Not as costly as it was over a decade ago.

@simplfred Don't think about it any longer. The pandemia has caused a lot of business to fall. Someone almost started a fire in a restaurant in my area - for insurance claims, I think. Sigh. At least you don't have that problem.
Think of another profitable business that you would enjoy doing. Many are reinventing themselves now. A neighbor's relleno and skinless longganisa business is booming. Another neighbor has put up a fruit stand in front of the house, complete with eggs, red eggs, and even five courses of carinderia meals.
Check out your resources and plan. A good time to dream anew.

I think when I bought my computer shop it was in its fall already. Real bad timing... Though, I think I have earned the cost of it but having a profit was another story...

@eileenleyva You are right. We must stand up whenever we fall down. My wife actually is trying to sell some mask to people she buys it in shopee and sold them. And also other item but she just started.

I'm surprised it still works. At least you have something and don't have to spend an arm and a leg on a replacement.

@simplfred given how the prices have gone up, as long as it works, right? I'm actually using a 2 in 1 I've had for a little over ten years, myself. It's still fairly responsive. Then again, I didn't use it for years due to some issues. So, I'm not surprised it's actacully works as wel as it does.
