How do you make yourself calm in a very stressful situation?

Every time I'm stressed I rather stay quiet and try to make myself calm until I was able to make a concrete decision and sometimes when I'm really stressed it makes me smoke a lot and sometimes I'll ask for a break until I make myself calm. It's because for me making a decision when I'm not calm will result of wrong decisions.

For me it is really tough for me to handle myself when I'm stressed. I actually can't understand how to react

Good, you've got it under control. Just today, I was in a stressed situation. I patted myself on the back for making sure of things, which wasn't working. Took a deep breath, looked at the time just before 11:45. I had to print out 37 docs and get it to the dept. by 3PM, today. Grabbed my docs, my gear and headed for Office Depot, printed it and got to the office on the bus, by 2:20. Done. Treated myself to tacos on the way home.

Very difficult but I think we should think about our health and think that bad feelings will only make us feel weak
