Australian cricketer Dean Jones dies in Mumbai of heart attack on Thursday evening. He was in Mumbai as a cricket commentator for Indian Premier League which is in progress at the moment in Middle East. Commentary team has been set up in Mumbai. His fellow team mate Brett Lee was with him at the time of the attack and he tried to revive him. He was just 59 years old at the time of his death. Indeed a sad event.
He played for Australia between 1984 and 1994. He played 52 test matches scoring 3631 runs at an average of 46.55. He scored 11 hundreds and 14 fifties. He also played for Australia 164 ODI matches scoring 6068 runs at an average of 44.64. He scored 7 hundreds and 46 fifties in his career lasting for 10 years. He was a very popular cricketer and was famous for his sense of humour in cricketing world.
May his eternal soul rest in peace and give his family courage to bear the loss.

It came as a shocking news. My husband told me about it and it was hard to believe. And once again we are forced to think life is short and uncertain.
