Saturday morning... Workout in garden... Some harvesting

Happy Saturday morning. It's a cool and cloudy morning with no sun so far. It's already 10:30AM. Seems like we have no luck with sun today. I got up at 7 today after good 6 hours. We just watched some funny YouTube videos last night after the cricket game. Had tea, some mutigrain crackers and papaya for breakfast. So no cooking of breakfast. Daughters had their milk, cereal and banana. I skipped the morning workout session. Instead I mopped the floor both upstairs and downstairs. That made my muscles exercise. And then I did some gardening and harvested these greens from garden... They are fenugreek leaves and amaranthus leaves. I have put seeds of brinjal, green chillies, tomato and capsicums. So a good muscle exercise for today and garden looks happy. I can see few veggies ready to be harvested in coming weeks. It has been raining every night here. So saves me from the chore of watering my plants in last one month. Despite of cold breeze and low temperature, two and half hours of constant work made me sweat. Here I am fresh after shower and done with my morning prayer. Will rest for a while and then head to kitchen to make some delicious weekend lunch Leaving you with image of my harvest for the day. I clicked some more beautiful pictures from my garden in the morning. Have a good time in your corner. Happy weekend

Nice harvest! I played tennis for exercise this morning. The day is young here, so after hubby finishes watering our new lawn, we may be going out somewhere safe.

Is amaranthus that plant that produces big red flowers that look like furry tails? The temperature is low here today, but sunny.

@arunima25 No, I never tried amaranthus leaves in my cooking. I should buy seeds and see if I can grow those plants here.

@LadyDuck Here it is one of the popular leaves. Red ones are tastier than green ones. They leave color to whatever dish you add them to. You can try. I hope they come out well. They are hassle free to grow.

Yes it has those fury tails kind of flowers and we dry them to get seeds. We have both green and red kind. Do you use amaranthus in your cooking??

You seem to have a good garden space. Your green vegetables what we call as red and white vegetable, look good. Nice to see your efforts getting fruits when you work in garden.

I have a terrace in my penthouse and three balconies plus a small space near kitchen. Using steps( I got them made on order) I have managed to accommodate a lot of pots.
