Do You Know Green Chillies Have 5% Of Sugar?

Green Chillies are having many benefits! It helps in digestion, it is having anti cancerous properties, it is helpful n increasing the metabolism and there are many such benefits! What I liked most about the green chillies is that they have Sugar in it! Every hundred grams of green chillies have about 5 grams of sugar in it! Did you know about it? What are the other benefits you know about the green chillies?

All vegetables contain sugar, red bell peppers contain 6% of sugar. Green chilies contain vitamin C, they speed up our metabolism, they are loaded with antioxidant and they reduce blood cholesterol and triglycerides.

@LadyDuck , That is true , I agree with you! The heme iron is available in the meat, poultry and seafood and non heam iron is available in the vegetarian foods as mentioned by you. Vit C is required to absorb non heme iron. Heme iron is easily absorbed by the body than the non heme iron!

@AKRao24 It contains non-heme iron, the kind or iron found in plants like whole grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, and leafy greens. Those who suffer of iron deficiency need to have both heme and non-heme, or the iron is not absorbed by the body.
