                            I am a practicing Orthodox and I also have read a lot about the Indian Yoga and the more you learn about it, the more you thing of a common goal. So, please do read on some great Indian sites and you'll se that there are much more similarities than discrepancies, if any in the end.

                            its not correct. 
Basically yoga is not for the peace of mind. It is makgin human being to control himself by controling his sense of organs. A yogy( Who trained yoga ) can achieve any level of concetration over the things he is involved. Yoga is practise of controlling both mind and body simlutaneously.
But Christianity is religion. It is not a pratice. It is groups of ethics for providing better living culture in society. Hence I think both are very different from each other.
