A bouquet of flowers to welcome new week....

It's my first break after two continuous online classes. And it was a fun class today with my special children as we did some movement exercises while learning our multiplication table. They did well and adding a bit of rhythm and dance to multiplication tables helped them stay interested and focused. Husband had a good laugh seeing me choreographing multiplication tables and dancing with my students there. This is not the first time he has seen me doing such things. I often did that in my therapy sessions at home that I used to do in evenings before lock down. I bring all forms of art, music and dance to my classes. Now that I am working from home he sees my crazy moments all the time. I enjoy it and that helps me stay young. I am enjoying few figs and apricots for my snacks right now. Here I wanted to share this beautiful bouquet of yellow roses that I spotted in my rose garden corner. . It's gorgeous and at once brightened my mood and spirit. . So a bouquet of flowers from my garden for all of you. Let's welcome this week with a new spirit.

Thank you for your kind words. These children have learning and attention challenges. So adding a bit of fun keeps their attention there. And I feel music and art help a lot to learn.

Thank you. I teach children with learning challenges. So I have to be creative to hold on to their attention. Especially in the virtual classes, it becomes more challenging to work with these children.

@arunima25 We get figs in May and in Autumn, right now we get fresh figs from Turkey, those are my favorite. I am not a fan of dried figs.

@LadyDuck That's good that you get them twice. I too prefer fresh over dried but we get them only for a short time maybe for two weeks in Summer. And the fresh ones are so costly. It's a bomb on pockets.

My mom would make yummy fig jam. Here the season of fresh figs is over. We get it in April and May. And this year I didn't get any due to this pandemic crisis and house arrest. These are dried ones but they too taste good and are healthy.

I was awe with this beautiful bouquet as soon as I spotted it. Could not stop myself from sharing it here I feel that we all learn more when we have fun and there is a lively class. I try to bring fun and creativity in my class or when I teach my own daughters. Music and art is effective especially with children with learning challenges.

@arunima25 You are right! No, there is one fast once a year from sundown to sundown. No liquids or any foods are allowed unless you need to take medicine with water or are too young, too old, or too ill.

Here we have different fasting rules for different occasion and many a time different people follow different things depending on their culture and belief.
