Grocery Done

I came back from the grocery store about one hour ago and had a quick bite. Now, just mylotting for a while as it is my way of taking it easy, The grocery store was full of people with their masks on which I am quite happy about, I had mine on also. I sure do appreciate being back at home with the furnace on. It is raining right now and pretty windy, looks more like October Is your grocery shopping done yet?

We are alright for groceries right now. I will need to run out one of these days for eggs and fruit and vegetables. Its not that cold here today, but tomorrow is October and we'll see the coolness come soon.

I still go grocery shopping every 2 weeks . . . this is the week that I do not go. It is triple digits today . . . so we are far from autumn weather still. We are required to wear masks here in stores - and I am glad for that too!!

@marlina Yep. It was like 107F yesterday . . . maybe a couple digits less today and tomorrow - then it starts to cool down by next week . . . although that still means 90s.

I will do my grocery shopping for the month on the second Wednesday of the month. Than we buy everything and only buy milk etc when we run out.

@marlina We get our social security on the second Wednesday every month and than we get our roth and 401K the last week of the month. So we buy everything the middle of the month and pay bills the last week of the month.

I am resisting turning the furnace on like the plague. I am just enjoying the cooler weather and having the windows open. As for grocery shopping, that's typically a weekend event for me.

@marlina We have a couple of space heaters going. I think it is still cheaper to run those since they are only on in one room at a time and only when we are there. I just refuse to 'break the seal' so to speak. lol

It pleases me to hear that the people in the grocery store wore their facemasks, hopefully they kept social distancing as well. Yes it is done, I have been ordering my grocery supplies on line and get it delivered at my building.

I am just now finishing up my grocery order for pick up at Walmart. I love the fact that I can order online and pick up at a time that is convenient for me. There are a few things in the store that I would like to get that are not available online. Wish that the shoppers could get those items too.

No shopping for me, today. I had a quick cycle to find a new way to the vets and then home for tea. Don't wear a mask on my bike, but I do carry one

@marlina Today is Thursday and I went grocery shopping today and to the pet store and wanted to go to another grocery store but I was really tired so did not go there and that one is farther. I got the majority in one place so ok. I may see if the other one and the bakery across from it is open next week and go possibly or wait till the following week.

Since October is only one day away I think it's okay that tree weather gets a head start. I changed the furnace filter today do we could turn out furnace in now but it's still 66 in the house. At night we may change our minds and turn it on low.

It's good you have your grocery shopping finished. I have my furnace on this morning for the first time. It was cold in here when I got home yesterday, but I didn't turn it on since I always turn it down when I go to bed.
