I'm Home Safe and Sound

I got home about two hours ago. My son picked me up from rehab around ten this morning. I went to his place where he did my laundry. He waited until today to get it done. As we were leaving his place to come home my car got a flat tire. So, he needed to call a tow truck and get it over to a shop so I could get a new tire on the car.
In the meantime, he called his girlfriend to come and get me and get me home. We stopped at Walgreen's to pick up my medication before coming home. By then my medication had completely worn off and I needed the pain meds badly.
After she dropped me off she took my food card and went to get me fruit since I need bananas, apples, and oranges that I've been eating at rehab for the past week.
I also went to the neighbor lady across from me and asked her if she could help me out with house chores. No problem.
I then made myself something to eat, eggs, and turkey bacon. It was the easiest. I won't be eating at the computer since I can't carry the plate in here and use the walker at the same time. So, I'm making use of the kitchen table.
I emptied out the suitcase and baskets onto my bed. So, I will be putting the clothes away before I go to bed tonight. Getting into bed is going to be fun. They didn't have the leg lifter at Walgreen's so I will need to order it from Amazon. I tried to get onto the bed, but couldn't, maybe I'll succeed later. I hope so. If I can get into bed, I won't need the leg lifter. I also found the space between my bed and the wall is too narrow for the walker, but I could walk it without the walker using the bed and wall. So, that works. It's been a fun couple of hours. At least I'm home and I'm on my computer instead of the laptop. I'm happy.
Okay, that's been my day. How was your day? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I got into bed without help. It wasn't easy, but then with getting up a couple of times during the night to go to the bathroom, it got a little easier each time. So, I won't need the leg lifter.
Easy? What's easy? I think I'm attracted to the hard and difficult way of doing things.

Is your couch comfortable? You could sleep there if you have one. I had to do that with my first replacement but with the second I could manage the bed better not sure why.
I was also able to keep my knee propped over my heart on the couch than my bed. Good luck and don't do too much too fast.

@just4him you don't make I've cubes for summer drinks? That's The ice I used for my I've man machine. I only used it three most with my first knee not the second though.

I don't have a couch. I have a recliner, but considering it's one I need to kick closed, I won't be reclining in it.
I got into bed last night and even surprised myself in being able to roll over to my stomach. Sleeping on my back for ten days was terrible for this stomach person. I will be using ice packs on my knee since I have no room in my freezer for ice for the ice machine they gave me.

@MarshaMusselman I don't like ice in my drinks and don't have room in my freezer for ice trays. I do have two ice packs in the freezer though, so that will help.

Glad you are home and getting settled back in. Hope you can get into your bed tonight without much trouble.. If you are having trouble getting the leg up in bed without the leg lifter use a large towel twisting it to where you can put it behind your leg holding each end with your hand to help lift the leg on to the bed.

@wolfgirl569 Thank you. Considering I was up three times in the night, it's good I could get in and out of bed by myself.
