Do you used lemon grass in your daily cooking? Do you mixed it in your tea? Do you know that; Lemongrass, also called citronella, is a tall, stalky plant. It has a fresh, lemony aroma and a citrus flavor. It’s a common ingredient in Thai cooking and bug repellent. Lemongrass essential oil is used in aromatherapy to freshen the air, reduce stress, and uplift the mood. Lemongrass is also used as a folk remedy to promote sleep, relieve pain, and boost immunity. One of the most popular ways to enjoy lemongrass is in tea. Photo:google

Lemongrass and citronella are different though? We have lemongrass and sometimes use as herbs for fish or chicken. Also for drinking tea!

You are right. Though they belong to the same family, lemongrass and citronella are two different plants. Lemongrass are all green while citronella has red in its stalk. Most people in my country see them as the same though. But they are different.

Lemon grass needs sunlight and my yard is full of shades from my trees. But I would try to grow lemon grass again in a pot. Thanks for the reminder.
