In France we had Nostradamus long ago, in USA the best predictions are coming from the Simpsons !
Difficult to believe, but a high peak occurred in searches in the USA soon after a tweet from Donald Trump telling that he had the covid.
The main questions are :
1 how did trump die in the simpsons
2 simpsons trump covid
3 simpsons predictions donald trump death
...
I did my search and, no, Trump does not die in the Simpsons. Then he will probably survive. This scientific expertise was offered to you with the help of Google Trends.
Are you believing in predictions ?

@topffer Now there are rumors going around that he faked the infection to avoid coming debates. Not sure if that's true but such news do make juicy reads.

@arunima25 It is hard to believe, a quarantine is a serious handicap for his campaign, and he can find 100 better fake reasons to not debate without having to quarantine.

Some months ago I watched a YouTube video from November 2019. The person who made the video predicted that Donald Trump would get infected with a mysterious virus in 2020. The person predicted that it would be a virus that didn't exist in the past, but he didn't say if Trump would survive or not. The person also predicted that 2020 would be a dangerous year. He predicted deaths and financial problems.
I don't usually believe in predictions, but at least that prediction seems more accurate than another prediction I heard. The second video was also made at the end of 2019, and the person predicted that 2020 would be the best year ever

@topffer I watched a Danish documentary where psychics helped the police solve old crimes. Some of the psychics were very good, and others were wrong about most things. I think that some of them actually have those abilities while others just pretend that they do. The police had very different opinions about them. Some were pretty openedminded and welcomed any kind of help while others clearly said "that they didn't believe in that nonsense"

Maybe a few diviners and fortune tellers have a real talent ? Some have been hired by the police to clarify criminal cases... I think science cannot still have an explanation for everything. Some people will tell you that the confinement was a very good break in their life, so maybe 2020 is a good year

@Porcospino I think exactly the same about psychics. I was not believing in ghosts until I rented a house haunted by a very noisy ghost. Since I am more open minded about "supernatural/unexplained" things.

Not privy to the Simpsons but I do not believe that liar is infected with CoViD-19. It's a sympathy act, for the elections.

@topffer Me, too. Wouldn't want to add up to the ugly, morbid state of affairs that is the USA. But truth must be told, because if we stop, evil will prevail.
The long arm of the law will catch up with that creature. This is the beginning of his unraveling.

@eileenleyva I don't like to add oil on fire but I agree with you. I think that his irresponsible attitude killed thousands of people. In my country he would be judged like a criminal for this.

The Simpsons are the new Sphynx, their predictions are often true. I wish to Trump a slow recovery. It has been very profitable to Britons that their PM had a hard time with the covid. Maybe Trump will also take the threat seriously after a week in a hospital... A fast recovery would not be good for US citizens.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Well, we learn from experience, but people may have different reactions to the same experience. I hope that Trump will be more empathic after that, but maybe is it asking too much to him.

My kids had been into The Simpsons for a while now. Hubby and I would often talk about the interesting predictions made throughout the years . Ohhh, I didn't know about this Trump one . . . I'll have to go find the episode and see for myself .
My friend's husband is a character designer for the show . . . and I did some stuff for their character books in our print shop when we used to print for the studio .

@topffer The Cumaean Sibyl ? Some of the predictions are just . . . I remember the Ebola one - that's just crazy. Seriously . . . who'd ever think we'd get here . . . perhaps we all should have watched The Simpsons are little more carefully from many moons ago .
We actually saw Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons, at a beach restaurant many years ago. Just what did he know back then . . . .

@much2say No, the American sibyl. There are 12 sibyls, one probably has migrated in California. I did not knew for the Ebola. I don't know the Simpsons enough, but it would be interesting to do a bit of stats and probability calculus to see if their predictions are coincidental or not (if, on 100 predictions, only a couple happen, it is hasard).
He introduced himself or you recognized him ? Makes me think... Long ago, in the early 90's, I was speaking with two others authors at a public conference to promote a new collective book. At the end we were signing the book, and somebody told me that there was an in-law of Pdt Mitterrand in the queue. When she came and told me her name, I asked her "How do you spell that ?" She had a sense of humor, laughed, and told me "With 2 t and 2 r".

Sometimes predictions are so spot-on that I often wonder about them. Trump is ornery enough that he will survive.

I am not sure about the predictions that you have shared here. One thing: Trump would get a good medical care.
Secondly, one thing I can predict is that I would have both tea and coffee during my evening and night today.
