Yes, I'm still juicing and haven't changed color yet~

On another site some years back (Bubblews) I mentioned juicing carrots and had so many comments about turning orange if I had too many.
This might have been mentioned by me on this site also.
Yes, I juice things. Lots of things, including greens and berries, but haven't changed color.
While it is true that a lot of carrots will change the appearance of the skin in some, there doesn't seem to be any tests about greens or about berries.
Like turning green or blue or raspberry would stop me. I'd just start a new trend.

It's true, but some don't like carrots, which puzzles me. To each his own.

Yes, they really are. Many know this but don't care for them or other vegetables.

Some of the drinks I make I call smoothies but technically they might not be b/c we don't use dairy in our drinks.

So true! I like to juice certain foods and then add the pulp back to the juice.

For me, juicing is one way to get more veggies. We also blend greens and fruit to be sure we are having enough of what is good for us!

Hello!
Seems we just all get so busy elsewhere. Hard to believe another year has begun.
Hope you are doing well and enjoying life.

My son had to stop eating so many carrots it was affecting his liver. Weird but true.

It can happen.
People really have to do their research. These things I do are for health reasons (why else would anyone do all this work) and we'll see what happens. For me the amount of carrots is not a concern as I switch around.

I've not seen you around in a long time and just ran into your activity. Maybe the carrots affect those that have more blue in their skin tones and that's why not everyone is affected it maybe the whole idea is an old wives tales. Never thought about that before. Hmm.

We do know people who turned a bit orange after weeks of juicing carrots, so we know it happens. The other colors, I don't think so.
I have not been here much for a bit-just get so busy elsewhere!
How are you doing?

@PatZAnthony in fine. I've been around more recently because I've been bed bound while some sores on the side of my foot heal.

Although I eat many vegetables and fruit as well, juicing helps me get whatever else I need. We do not use animal products, so have to fill that empty space!

@PatZAnthony My son and his girlfriend are vegan/vegetarians, but are like me. They need the crunch and oral stimulation. Hope you are getting the necessary vitalmins.

That is something I'm not sure about. We have given carrots to our horses, but just one or two at a time. It really can make humans take on an orange glow if they drink too much carrot juice for a long period of time, but that is not something I worry about.

We had friends whose skin tone actually did turn orangish from drinking so much carrot juice a few years back. The doctors told them they needed to add other things in order to not to have the skin tone change. They did as you, started adding greens and berries into the mix and their skin tones returned to normal.

It is interesting how the body reacts to different foods. For me, the taste of the carrot juice alone is the best. However, knowing things must be balanced to get the nutrients needed reminds me to add other veggies and fruit to some on my juice.
