Hubby and I planned on taking a Sunday drive to look at the fall colors of the changing leaves. New England is famous for this.
Instead, I snapped a photo of them right in my own backyard. Next week they should look even better.
We took a walk around our neighborhood holding hands and swinging our arms. That was just as nice as looking at the changing leaves.

I think I saw a snowy sky back in 2015 but it didn't last very long @DianneN snow generally melts before noon and usually it's sunny out by then. I dread those skies that tell me it's going to be windy and dusty.
I'm not really sure which is worse but I think I'd rather put up with the dusty winds because they usually aren't cold or at least not as cold as what you get.
Oh shiver me timbers, I just got people bumps.

I once had a very dear and loving friend who lived in Trumbull, Connecticut, I remember all those lovely fall colors, I also remember helping him every fall raking the leaves which I think the big tree in front of his house purposely spit down the leaves by the ton. Across the street there was a feisty old lady living and one fine fall day she came across the street while I was taking a break from my raking and showed mu s leaf blower she had borrowed and she said to me It's great having a friend with a blower lol

@RasmaSandra OMG! I taught school on Booth Hill Road. I was way up the road, but drove all the way down it to get home. I wonder which house it was. I have a friend who lived across the street from the school. What a tiny world.
Yes, those leaves are awful to rake by hand. Hubs used to blow them, but now we use a lawn service.

Yes, we are blessed to have each other. I still prefer looking at the water in my backyard in Florida, but am making the best of the country life in the suburbs. Hubs and I are so grateful we have our yard for the fresh air and whatever comes out of the woods. lol

It's so beautiful; the changing colors of the leaves; and your relationship with your husband!

@DianneN We held hands all the time when we walk Dianne, people call us "lovebirds".
The storm was really bad, I have never heard the wind blowing like this here, at least the house is strong.
I keep an eye on two houses that they are building on the hill, walking distance from me.

Well, we always held hands for as long as I can remember. Now, I think it's to hold each other up to keep from falling.
That storm really must have been bad enough to affect your trees. Btw, I hope you are still keeping an eye open for a house for me.

Sigh. My husband does not practice PDA. When I watch the webcams of Duval Street in Key West, so many couples, young and old, hold hands. I'm so jealous!

That is so sweet to know of a couple enjoying something like a walk. I like color change too. Seems like our trees are further along here, but then we are probably farther north. Color change is beautiful

@FayeHazel Thank you! We make a good team.
I know what's coming, too. I will be sickened by then.

Ah yes - I agree, I know people LOVE this time of year here, but maybe I live too far in the future... (probably) but to me, I know what's coming.

@arunima25 The same to you. Neither of us are idiots and there's nothing we need that is necessary to risk our lives getting it.
