October 5 - What I'm Thankful for Today

It's time to get off the laptop. I also want out of this bed. I need to get something to eat and watch a little TV before the game starts in a couple of hours. It's times like now when I wish I had a couch. Though I have nowhere to put one.
Today I'm thankful for finding a way to get a shower without help. It felt good to be independent again and not depending on someone else. Though I was very happy to have my sister's help.
I'm thankful the swelling went down a little bit. It's barely noticeable. My pants leg was tight around my leg. It's not tight anymore. So, that's good.
I'm thankful I have ice packs in the freezer to help with the swelling.
I'm thankful for the fitness goals I achieved. Most of it is with my left leg since my right doesn't move that much except when I'm walking with the walker. I have almost 7500 steps right now. I did manage all the hourly steps.
I'm thankful I could walk for a short distance today without the walker. It felt good to gain that much mobility. Every day is better.
Okay, that's my day. What are you thankful for today? The image is mine.

@just4him yer welcome. that's great such's not got much swellin', hon. i'm runnin' late (family crisis) gettin' here today so've yet to read discussions. tryin' to catch'p with notifications 'fore they fall off the planet.
still aint sure which species said lil bird'd be. tried to get a pic 'f what i believe to be the same bird/species jest a bit 'go. no luck, seems the ferals're now huntin' like coyotes'n packs :( i turned the sprinklin' system'n 'n 'bout 8 'f 'em came flyin' out'ta the vines. which answered why the birds'd not come down to the waterfall. they're happy now though, gettin' drinks'n showers 'mong the safety 'f the trees.

@crazyhorseladycx I'm glad the birds are enjoying the luxury of the waterfall. I'm sure the ferals were surprised when you turned on the sprinkler system.

Thank you. It's good this morning. Not much swelling. I have a doctor's appointment this morning. I'll ask him what I can do about the swelling besides the ice packs. I'm very happy I've got my fitness goals going again.
I'm so happy for you and your adventures with the little critters and birds. I hope you find out what species the bird is.

@kobesbuddy Was he afraid they would lose? When I saw we had three touchdowns in the first half, I didn't worry anymore about losing. The Pack is good this year.

It's the Bay of Green Bay at my favorite park. I realized I used the wrong picture when I turned off the computer and went to watch the game. I should have chosen a pic of me with my cheesehead on.
That's great you worked yesterday. Have fun today with the guitar.
