Baby Shower

My daughter is due on the 22nd of October with her first child at the age of 19. I am excited to be a grandma for the first time; although, I have many concerns--mostly related to Covid. I have decided not to dwell on the what if's and just enjoy this first time experience. Since it is near her due date we decided it would be a good time to have the baby shower. I worked with the other soon to be grandma, who lives in California, to plan the shower. Not only was it a bit difficult to plan the shower with someone a few states away it was even more difficult to do so on a tight budget and short notice. The shower was simple. It was missing balloons, games, and food but there was a large turnout (held outside and masks were worn) and my daughter received a lot of nice gifts. She seemed to be happy with how it all turned out so that is really all that matters. I was glad for it to be over; although, I enjoyed meeting the father's family and friends (it was a co-ed shower) and of course I enjoyed being there with my daughter, whom I don't get to see much because of the distance. It was unfortunate to have only spent a day of uninterrupted time with her before having to head back home to Idaho; however, I am thankful I was even able to make the trip and be a part of the celebration. Now I'll be anxiously waiting for the big "I'm in labor" phone call--then it is back to California again!!

Congratulations to the grandma-to-be! Your post would be more readable if you divided it into paragraphs. Not only members with glasses would be grateful.
