A chat with my widowed friend

Yesterday, my friend, who is a widow, chatted with me. She has been grieving over her husband's death. I tried to comfort her as it is hard to be alone. But I know, I cannot totally relate to her feelings. I told her to.be strong and to just cry it out so as to lessen the pain. He husband died last month because of Covid and he was the breadwinner. My friend does not work.
