In the outback and still heading north

We are now in the north-west Western Australian town of Cue which calls itself the Queen of the Murchison, the Murchison being one of the north-west regions. We left Mt Magnet this morning and passed an impressive granite breakaway which features a cut-out of an aboriginal hunter. The rocks are mostly red-gold and a strong contrast to the lighter hues of the surrounding countryside.
The countryside is very stony with rocky outcrops all over the place. Since we started our journey, we seem to be always heading uphill but the slopes have been gentle. The truck ‘rigs’ up here are huge, with many around 53 feet long. No doubt other countries have huge rigs too but we don’t see them quite this length in the more southern regions.
Tomorrow we head for Meekatharra. We have wifi here in Cue so I’m making the most of it.

Very away from civilization it looks. Are there rest areas as you head to a town?

That's very good. Can be comfy while traveling. Hawaii especially Oahu where I live unless you go to North Shore, no need rest stop.
But pandemic brought library closure, where clean public restrooms now can't use. Luckily transit station where I pass or start at got restrooms.![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

@oahuwriter when we were overseas we sometimes found it difficult to find restrooms.

it reminds me a bit of the American West, although there appears to be more iron content in your soil.
