I have to really thank all of you for the advises you gave me. I mustered the courage to talk to my manager face to face and inform her of my resignation. I had it played over and over on my mind but to be honest I was dreading nothing. The fear was greater than the actual act. She graciously accepted my resignation although she said say she was sorry to see me go as “I was really good.”I am I think the 5th employee who resigned this year and I think 3 more are going I can’t help but feel guilty for the ward but I have to move on.

Yeah I have to think about saving and finances now. And although Guernsey could be really boring it does offer me that financial stability I’m looking for. Also, I am hopeful that it will be a better work environment.

@arunima25 thank you Arunima. The place is by the sea so that is indeed quite promising.

Yeah I think I have to be a little selfish this time around. My passion for nursing is slowly dying in this place I work in now.

@flapiz Oh no, I don't want to see you lose your passion for nursing! You are good at what you do, and I know you love the profession, so I hope you can find a place to work where your efforts are appreciated.

Indeed. When I finished talking to my manager it felt as though a thorn has been lifted off my chest.

I hope so too. It looks promising. And besides I’ll be near the sea. That already is more than enough.

if you're the fifth this year, then it must be the workplace, not the workers. i'm glad you have another job to go already. so no issue about the contract?

Thank you. I am really grateful. Work is really stressful these days but when I think that I am leaving soon. It gives me a reprieve and working is made easier.
