Dreams of a writer

The outside world is nagging at me. A dresser to work on. Laundry to do. Bills to pay. All I really want to do is write and write today. I wonder do the rest of you have that novel you would write if you didn't have the constant pressure from the real world? Ian Fleming the author of the James Bond books which as we all know became epic, would spend three months out of the year writing on an island. Can you imagine? What a dream. No worries, someone else cleaning for you. Uninterrupted writing, with an ocean view. "To soon times passes as I cling to my dreams. At times holding back tears as my hair turns grey, my youth has slipped away and all I have are these pages that lay unread."R. J. Cassettari" 10/10/2020 Thank you for stopping by.

I actually find I'm more productive if I allow myself distractions. I know that sounds odd, but more often than not, I find I get more accomplished when I break up the time. For posting here, for example, I've been up and down several times between every two to three posts. It's good to help keep me active, too.

We all have our own way. I feel like I just get inspired and bam interruption. I work out for an hour every morning. Lol I just can't help but wonder what it woyld feel like to be able to just dedicate time to only writing. Like Anne Rice, Stephen King. Thank you for the perspective.

@DearAphrodite Not a problem. Sharing perspectives is what we do as people. In a way, I envy anyone who can do that. But, they are few and far in-between. The real world is ever-changing, and always moving. Life doesn't always allow us to take so much time on just one thing. Most people don't even get a full 8 hours of sleep.

Sometimes I think that some writers must have excess to days that have more than 24 hours in a day. I'm hooked on one writer at the moment that is likely younger than me and has written about 25 books from last count. It must be a blissful life now that I think about it!!
