Most of you have heard this one, but I may have to sing it tonight. "HAVE," you ask? Sometimes I like to go to see friends play and KNOW that I can relax and not have to worry about my voice, whether my guitar is in tune, or whether I'm "showing anybody up." I just wanna watch and NOT play.
One of the bands I used to play for is performing in a "driveway concert" tonight. I (and my music buddy who records my stuff) quit that band because the leader of the band had an anxiety disorder, and her disorder was contagious. She did NOT come from "jam culture" (getting together and playing music while drinking too much beer), and everything had to go exactly as she planned it.
I will dutifully bring my guitar and cable, and say hi to the people who recognize me, but I will try to hide in the shadows and not be called up to play. I hope you enjoy the rendition I'll attach (as I mentioned, most of you have already heard it). I play all instruments on this version, thanks to the miracle of overdubbing, and am happy with it.
Most of the photographs were also taken by me. They show the landscape of the foothills of Mt. Diablo in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area--just another place where Native Americans once nurtured the land before the white man took over.
If you like it, and haven't already, please subscribe to my channel, listen to my other songs, leave comments, and in general make me feel loved. Tonight is one of those nights where I hope I get "love for nuthin' and chicks for free." It was a busy day. Do you know where my (mis)quotation comes from?

@just4him My friends and I went and watched a really good band yesterday. I KNEW I wouldn't be playing on that day. Hey, how did the Packers do, assuming they played. I watched the Raiders game, but was gone for the 49ers game. The 49ers suck this season.

Your misquote came from a Chet Atkins song! (About 1:24 in the song)
Il testo parodiato di questo pezzo è semplicemente meraviglioso, quindi ho voluto tradurlo e metterlo in notazioni :D

@TheHorse — it’s hilarious, especially when Chet paraphrased the “you’re no Chet Atkins” line.

Hope you had a good time. I always enjoy hearing your songs and watching your videos. I remember the lyric; but I can't remember which songs it's from. Call it old-age syndrome. lol
