What portion of your leaves are colored?

Here in the sunny south leaves are slow to color. I would say only about 10-15 percent are changed. When I look out I see the majority are green, although there are splashes of color here and there. Once we get a frost or freeze later in the month, they will start to turn in earnest. Some trees have no yellow at all, but will get some eventually. Do the leaves change where you are? Do you have alot of color?

That won't happen here for a long time yet. Probably by the end of Nov. most will be gone.

Yes, you are probably at peak color change right now or maybe even a bit beyond it.

@snowy22315 No, we aren't quite there yet. Maybe another week or so depending on how cool it gets at night. Peak is usually the third or last week of the month.
But it is still so pretty so see the colour that is there.

@snowy22315 My holly tree in the garden is always green, only the berries turn red. Many of my neighbors have palms, they do not change, the pines that I see on the hills around us are all the time the same color. The oaks, the hazelnuts and walnuts are now changing colors.

@LadyDuck Most of what we have here are oaks..The majority are not changed yet, but there are spots of color around. It was pretty cold last night..but no frost.

I didn't know you had leaves that change colors there, but I guess it is Central and Southern Fla where they don't change.

@snowy22315 We do here in the panhandle but still not to the extent that they do the farther north you go.

The weather has been mild. Most of the leaves have coloured and fallen. The high winds have ripped many of the leaves from the trees.
