Happy Birthday Little Brother

Besides Halloween and Christmas, my brother's birthday was his favorite time of year. He loved it so much that he would have a birthday week. Last year for his birthday, I bought him something he had been wanting for a while, an Alexa Echo Plus.
Because of the cost, it was the last thing he expected to get. When he opened the box, he was so touched that he got very emotional. He was completely surprised and from that day until the night before he passed away, he used it every day either for music or to ask Alexa questions. I remember some of the questions he would ask and we would laugh until we cried.
I have dreaded today ever since he has passed away. I knew I would feel emotional, which I am, but I can smile a little too. The day is still young, so I pray that God will continue to give me the strength to get through today without getting too depressed.
So, my dear friends, please wish Chuck a Happy Birthday in Heaven. He never knew how much a lot of you cared for him, but I know he knows now. Happy Birthday little brother! I love you and miss you terribly!

@LadyDuck yes, it’s been particularly difficult this month. It is also my parents anniversary month. They would have celebrated 59 years on the 30 th.

That’s what I’m doing to honor my dad’s memory on the 18 th. I’m making some of his favorite foods. He was so looking forward to turning 80.

I know that you miss your father. I often make the food my father liked during the holidays. He used to say that he would have been happy to reach the 70... he did not even reached the 60.

When I was growing up I used to celebrate my birthday for a whole week too and my brother used to make comments about it. You were a good sister to him. I take it today would have been his birthday. That is very rough on you. Happy
