How do you take care of your shoes, sandals and the likes during pandemic when we almost don't go out?

I don't have many pairs of shoes, just 7, and I don't have many dresses too. I am a minimalist.
But when we don't use things like shoes and dresses, the leather starts to dry rot and the fabric turns yellow.
How do you take care of them?
I wipe my shoes and sandals every week with wet cloth. As for dresses (because I have more Sunday dresses and skirts than jeans and tee shirts, I wash them when I don't wear them for a long time.
What about you?

Well my shoes are not leather so I don’t have to worry about the turning yellow or drawing out. Some people have fabric shoes and they it makes it easier to deal with like I wash them and put them away till I need them for that season.

@Janet357 that sounds like you have iron in stuff. Ours doesn’t peel. The kids always find ways in the fall to get mud on there shoes and I have to wash them in the washer and dryer

I just put oil, WD40, Kiwi shoe polish sometimes even a product called " Armour all " which is btw used to protect the car dashboard from the harmful effects of UV rays.
