See? I told you things would be different with today’s song with “baby” in the title. After three days in a row of country music (and the country music I listen to, not that modern “hick-hop” stuff), I present a “refreshing change”!

And yes, this is on the same iPod as those three country songs that have appeared in the last three days.
Superficially a humorous song along the lines of “Beat on the Brat,” the underlying story is that Joey Ramone (who was Jewish) was dating a black woman whose parents didn’t approve of her dating a white Jew.
I’d prefer to just enjoy the lightheartedness of the song than think about the brutal reality behind it.

Yes. The message of the song is that racism is everywhere, not just in the Klan.
