Midday!

I posted today later than I expected, but for a good reason that I will clear up later. Guys last week was a good one, full of good news for me, and I am looking forward to making the next week even better and more fruitful. I confess I have had my dark days  before, some of them I let them all out here on mylot because I do think this is a good place to find good advises, and helpful comments. Last night I caught up with my reading, and I couldn't be happier, I tell you a secret? I personally feel more fluent in English when I read English books, it is hard to explain, but it feels like my mind adjusts itself to the language, so when writing things down, or typing, my ideas pop up easily. I am loving it! (I was taught that that phrase was grammatically wrong) but I have seen it on TV in McDonald's commercials. Haha. Any plans for today? Photo credit. Google Image.

@jvicentevalera It's the same thing... Reading and more reading. Also to write and speak more in English. We can improve any language only if we use it more.

I can understand that your English would improve with reading and writing it, and here is a wonderful place to put that into practise. And nicest of all, nobody really should be correcting you, after all, we all make mistakes.

Oh Julia, I truly appreciate your insight. What a splendid way to put it. I am wide opened to hear any suggestions when people do it gently.

@jvicentevalera To be completely honest with you, based on your posts, I can tell that you have a very good command of the English language.

@Juliaacv oh Julia, I am beyond greatful fof your words. I feel confident in myself when writing in English, but you know what I really need to do for myself? It is to speak one on one with a native English speaker. I worked at a hotel, here in Santiago before the Covid-19 outbreak, during those days, I had the chance to speak with some guests, some of them Americans, others British and it felt so good that they understood me, and vice versa. However it wasn't a conversation that lasted more than three minutes, I need a 30-40 minutes conversation to fully believe that I can master the language. Call me dumb but I do it sort of to validate myself I can do it. Haha

I think the German language is more difficult to learn than the English language. Well, that was what I have experienced @Marilynda1225

Reading in the English language and watching Americans or British movies in the original language will help us learn a lot in speaking and writing in English.
