The autumn days are here now, and each day seems to be shorter and darker than the last. To be honest, it has always been a most difficult time of the year for me. I crave light and the gorgeous days of summer, even though this summer was probably the strangest and most challenging that anyone in the world can remember. But even as the veggies taper off, and it gets harder to feel enthused about getting up early in the morning, some plants are determined to show their best stuff, either if you can keep them in a sunny window, or as is my fortunate situation, let them run rampant in a sunroom. Right now, it’s time for the Hoyas to bloom and show off! Their waxy looking flowers are mesmerizing to look at.

Yes, they’re almost like delicate porcelain. Right now two are blooming, this one, and a pure white one. I have five different types of Hoya. The days have gone quickly this year, and I don’t like to wish them away, but oh, I love the long days!

@crazyhorseladycx I remember how overwhelmed I was to see the first bloom this year! But now there are blooms all down the long and rampant stem on this beauty. All Hoyas are very different, which is another interesting thing about them. I love the way the pink is reflected on the border of the leaf above it on this particular one. A visitor here hardly looked at the beautiful blossoms - said it's such an untidy plant! True. Oh, I’m with you on the lack of sleep thing! Always so much to do, the mind refuses to shut off when it should! Try to grab some zzz during the day, but even that’s not too successful, as the mind insists on nighttime!

Yes, it is Hoya, and it is a very vigorous one in the sunroom. Unfortunately it is too cold to grow them outside at this time of the year.
