Almost every night I close my eyes but couldn't really sleep. Even if I sleep, I constantly wake up almost every 2 hours. I start sleep around 11 pm every night, and awake around 1 am. And I need at least 30 minutes to get back to sleep. Even in my sleep, I couldn't really sleep, it's like I know what happens around me. I end up wake up cranky because lack of sleep. What should I do? Any of you have the same experience?

You're under stress. You have a problem that keeps on haunting too. Patch it up.

@Cheyee Well that's too long to be bothered then. Time has already healed it unless there's a current happening again. It's not good to get a good night sleep Forget it and have a sound sleep.

@Nakitakona yeah, it's a long time ago, but few months ago my neighbor got her equipment stolen. Maybe that's why

I suspect it's because of trauma. Around 5 years ago, a thief stole some stuff from my home while I was sleeping. So I am kind of sensitive with noise. It's like my mind try to keep awake.

@Cheyee I also do not sleep well. Most of the time I wake up several times in the night to go to the bathroom and then have a hard time falling asleep again. You have to find a way that will help you sleep throughout the night. People have told me their remedies, but, they did not work for me so I will not suggest anything.

@Cheyee I cannot remember all anymore but one I can remember is drinking warm milk before you go to bed. I tried that for me and it did not work. Maybe it would work for you.

That's actually a great idea. But I need to keep my phone close because I need to wake up early. Around 4.30 am. So, the temptation is so strong. I don't have any alarm o'clock.

There must be something in the air because I have been struggling with staying asleep for the past week or so. Have no idea why. I do find that if you start at 100 and count backwards, you should be asleep before you hit 1!

Start at 100 and count backwards? I kind of get it. I would fall asleep because I am bored and I hate mathematics, not because I am sleepy ???? Btw i started to have a sleeping problem since 5 years ago, during my second kid pregnancy.

Welcome to myLot! I must be lucky, because I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow and don't wake up until morning. Have you tried exercising early in the morning, drinking warm milk before bed, or melatonin? That may help.

Thank you. Indeed you are very lucky. I do exercise in the morning (not everyday tho) and also drink warm milk before bed but it's not helping at all.

I was drinking too much caffeine and had to cut back, especially during the afternoon. Tea and coffee both contain caffeine and so does chocolate or cocoa. When I didn't eat enough protein, I had problems staying asleep at night.

I like tea and coffee, but I don't really drink it regularly, well you could say very rare, not even once a month. So now you are okay?

My sleeping time from 12mn wake up at 1am.. About what u said like u feel as if u know what is happening around u...maybe u want to look at out of body experience...coz its sounds like it...i was able to experience that too Based on my research the out of body experience can be experience by all people but not all can do...and it says that if you have experienced that you are lucky...but that experience is dangerous...

So you can take a walk indoors and listen to a light music to help you fall asleep

I have horrible insomnia! Example: went to sleep at 2200 and woke up at 0200 and never went back to sleep....I wasn't sleepy until my alarm went off.

I always find watching comedy series in bed really sooths me and makes me so sleepy. You should try this too, laughing relaxes you and that is good for sleep.
