I Just Love Math

Ever since I took an algebra class in college, I just love math. I feel like I couldn’t get enough of math. Whenever I see numbers I add them. Lately, I came across the lattice method and I’ve been so focused on calculating numbers. My weakest point is subtraction. I did find a shortcut to learning and strengthen my subtraction skills on YouTube. I’m quite happy I’m getting a little better. What’s your experience when it comes to math? Photo credit: Pixabay

In the UK we say maths rather than math...just so you know it isn't a spelling mistake on my part Back in school I hated maths and especially hated algebra I just couldn't see the point of it, I had my career mapped out in the army and just wasn't bothered about maths. Now 20+ years later I like some aspects such as statistics and percentages and various other things but still hate algebra and trig and things of that nature

@meowch part of the reason I hated maths was because of my teacher in junior high...mutual dislike

Definitely not my strongest area at all. Wish that is was. My brain just doesn't seem to work that way. Give me a pencil and a piece of paper and I can figure it out, but my brain can't work through the process unfortunately. Or it doesn't want to ;)

I have a friend that can calculate everything on his head. I need a pen and paper to work out the numbers. I’m just different.

I'm fine with arithmetic and geometry but algebra completely baffled me at school. I couldn't for the life of me understand how it was possible to count using letters of the alphabet and I'm not much better today!

To be honest I have no idea why I understood algebra perhaps the complexity was exciting. I'm not good in geometry, maybe one day I'll figure it out.

Dear god, someone loves maths? You are really a miracle. Back then when I was in high school I couldn't count how many classes that I skipped. I am not bad at maths, but still hate it ??
