I texted my ex yesterday afternoon. He had a rough Tuesday and was pretty cranky so I left him alone that night. Yesterday I texted him to say that I hoped he was having a better day and that I love him.
He responded "Thanks beautiful. I hope you are too." 
I was very happy to read it but it also just confuses me. Why the hell are we divorced if we still love and want each other?
I think he wants to come over tonight. He is already starting with the texts even though he isn't done with work for like 5 or 6 hours.

Ask yourself, how do you feel about him? How is it when you visit? When you're apart?
Love is complicated. It always has been. He could still love you, but not to where a marriage between you two would work out. Sometimes, people are just better off as best friends, and not so much as spouses.

I am wondering if he only wants to have a relationship, without the marriage commitment. So many are resorting to this, at this time. Don't get me wrong, he DOES mean what he said to you. Yet, to become a married couple again, I really don't know. What's holding him back? I'm not sure.
