The Final Harvest

My husband and I put off the last harvest for as long as we could but it's going to get down to 29 tonight. If we don't see our first snow for the year it will be a surprise. I have a few winter loving friends that's fine, but I love my spring and summer. To plant and watch my plants grow and to eat food right out of my garden, is heaven to me.
My goal is at the latest in two years, to be moved back to either Texas or Florida. I moved to where I am now for family reason then I met my husband.
What's your favorite season and why? Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you. If the tomatoes don't ripen up it will be fried green tomatoes. We are going to give some of the peppers to my husband's kids tomorrow. Put some in chili etc. Hopefully the "maters" ripen because I like to make a traditional "sugo"(that's not spelled right but it is what Italians call spaghetti sauce) sauce or pasta sauce in English.. Means gravy. We like the same seasons.

This is a random question, but my husband told me the village he came from calls what us Americans call spaghetti sauce, Sugo or gravy. How do you spell that right? Thank you. Glad you are still having pleasant weather.

@DearAphrodite Sugo is correct, gravy is a word that does not exist in Italian. "Spaghetti al sugo" is exactly the spaghetti with the tomato sauce on top. It rained a lot yesterday here, but today is sunny.

@DearAphrodite I live in Northeastern part of India and it start getting colder nowadays. People out here still practice cultivation according to the climate. This is the reason why I missed home whenever I stay in bigger cities in term of vegetables and seasonal crops

I agree with you. Spring and Summer are great times of the year for many things among them gardens. I just picked the last of my tomatoes and yes, eating what you have grown is not only satisfying but tastier than store bought. I enjoy summer best just because the days are longer and your able to do more outdoor activities.
