Switching My Weekend Around.

One of the perks of being self-employed and a freelance writer is being able to set my own schedule. Of course, I still have deadlines that sometimes cause me to work late or on the weekends (but it all depends on my time management and whether or not I overextend myself). I lucked out this week, as the few remaining Fiverr orders I have from this batch are not due until Wednesday and Thursday. Therefore, I'm taking off today and starting my work week on Sunday. I'm tired. My head hurts. I still need to answer a few friends back and then grab a shower. Plus, I'm going to the thrift store tomorrow, and I have no idea what time we're leaving. I really don't feel like staying up super late with my work tonight. On top of that, I just don't have the motivation. I'm not even updating my New Kids On The Block blog and Instagram pages tonight (I'll do it next week), nor am I worried about missing WWE Smackdown.... that's how tired I am. If I'm not too exhausted tomorrow night, I may soak in Epsom salt because I've had various aches and pains. On Sunday, I'm working on those my Fiverr orders and setting up my schedule for the week. I haven't decided if I'm watching WWE Hell In A Cell. I wanted to Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton's matches, but I don't know if I feel like sitting through the whole thing, so I'll sleep on it. I don't have to make a decision until Sunday evening anyway. In other news, my gum/tooth is still bothering me, but the pain has gone down some, so I think the Orajel mouthwash is working. I highly doubt my headache is related to it though (even tho it's possible for the two to be connected). I have bad posture when I work in the living room, which I attempted to do today. Alrighty, I'm going to wrap this up. I want to finish up on my laptop, put it away and eventually just relax for the rest of the night. Maybe I can use tonight and tomorrow to fix my sleep schedule. You all have a great weekend, stay safe and take care. :) Photo Credit: Pixabay.

I'm self employed too but I make hand made cards and earrings. The problem with me being self employed is that nobodies buying!

Being self employed is something I could probably do, but just never have. But I would absolutely love it. Being on my own timeline and schedule would be great. I HAVE been considering semi-retirement, and if I did this I could switch things around a bit as well. Still, I really like what I am getting paid these days for the job I do, and so I keep doing it even though I can afford to cut back significantly on work. Hope you get your tooth/gum worked out. Pain sucks. Especially that kind of pain.

If you enjoy your job and/or pay, and it works for you, there's nothing wrong with sticking to it. Also, I have no doubt you could be self-employed as well. Thank you. The Orajel mouthwash helped in just a few days.

@porwest I feel that, to be honest, as I'm guilty of it myself lol.

@tammys85 The ONLY problem I might have is the potential for getting sidetracked. Lots of distractions like YouTube...and MyLot you know. lol

Cool! I am so amazed by people who got work online like Fiverr, I am not confident enough to work there I feel like I am lacking in skills. But anyway have a great rest day, I love weekends, and I want to stay awake for the rest of weekends... I just want to write or watch a lot of vlogs and korean drama.

I wasn't confident enough at first, but I'm so glad I finally made the leap. Just keep practicting until you feel comfortable enough, and then look up the "how to get started selling on Fiverr" articles; as Fiverr itself helps new sellers to get started. Thank you! I hope it was a good weekend to you!

Thank you! I have to re-adjust my schedule at times, such as today. I didn't want to, but some things are more important than even work. I hope you can find more jobs and create a schedule that works for you! Have a great week and stay safe.

In this pandemic case, the only motivation that you have is you can still doing work while in the other situation there is peoples struggling to get their job including me. I think you should doing some meditation treatment and make an appoinment to a medical specialist.

I've been working from home for about 10 years, so it wasn't pandemic related. I'm definitely grateful to be able to still work of course, and I wish you and others all the best in these difficult times..... but my lack of motivation was from feeling tired and dealing with a tension headache. It happens to all of us. I don't think I need medical treatment. My headaches come from poor posture and a messed up sleep schedule. But maybe I'll try meditation some day, thank you. :)
