Today, I'd like to introduce a painting of hunting in autumn of Yuan Dynasty
This painting is 59 cm × 1240 cm. The scroll depicts the situation of the emperor leading his army to travel, camp and hunt in the Yuan Dynasty (about 800 years ago). The picture is centered on the young deer hunting. The scene is grand and the characters are vividly depicted with epic momentum. Among them, the depiction of the prince and other warriors riding on the galloping horse chasing and killing deer is more profound. Because there is an idiom in China: chasing deer in the Central Plains, which means hunting in the middle of China, specially hunting deer, has the meaning of conquering the world. In 1989, Wang Dingqian bought it back in New York for $1.87 million and collected it in Taiwan. This painting has a certain historical value for the study of the customs of the Yuan people and the history of the Yuan Dynasty.
I can only show you the larger part of the picture.
