At what age did your ears get pierced for earings?

My parents would not let me get my ears pierced until I was "older". I convinced them to let me get them done as a junior high graduation present - so I was about 14. My sister never wanted to get them pierced, and even til this day she never has done it. I've always thought it should be a choice.

I was 16 yrs old as I recall. I got them done in a jeweler shop.

Sheesh, I was 26. My mom and I went together and had it done.

I had mine pierced in high school when I received a pair of diamond earring from my grandmother. My granddaughter had her ears pierced when she was 6 years old, but stopped wearing earrings due to all her activities.

@Janet357 I got my ears pierced when I was an adult 3 times here. The first time someone just did it and was not good. The 2nd time I slept in them and tore one and they had to be closed. The 3rd time was the last and I love pierced ears.

I really do not know since l have a son.. But most parents do that when they are still young to aboid having them traumatized when they can recall things back. That’s why sometimes you can see babies wearing earrings already. It is best to ask your pediatrician about it l am sure they know how to make it safely to babies.

I think I was 4 or 5 when I had mine done. Mine got stuck in a blanket when i was young and tore my ear. Now my ears are closed and I don't plan to get them pierced again.

Nowadays, they pierce baby girls as early as baby stage. I got mine on my left ear when I was 25. Lol

My ears are not pierced, many women do not have their ears pierced here, this was a thing of the past.

They said 1 year or any early age because the ear is still youngly smooth. I can't recall what age exactly i am but i know my ear got pierced at young age.

I don't know. I think unless a child wants their ears pierced, it shouldn't be done.

For me my mom have done it for me when I was 3 years old, and still remember that I had small golden ring in my little finger too, I have no idea where is it now

It's depends to you but most moms here pierced the baby like 2months they're excited to see they're baby wearing earrings.

Why do people getting their ears pierced ..Will that be adding any good to our life?
