Late lunch

Yesterday was a busy day for me. As early as 9am I have to go to the bank to arrange for a personal loan because we need to renovate some parts of our house. At 11:30 I must be at another bank for the signing of loan agreement our local government is arranging for the expansion of our water system. Due to our mayor's hectic appointments yesterday he was able to arrive at the bank at 1:30 pm. We finished the signing almost 2 pm. As I need to go back to office soon I just contend with a Mcdonalds drive thru and ordered burger. It's not my ideal lunch lol because my lunch must include rice and soup.

@florelway It's always good that some people can do it that way. My "office" is just a bedroom in my house, so all I have to do is go to the kitchen when I'm hungry.

@florelway When I was a young lady and still lived with my parents, my work was also only 5 minutes from our house. So I always walked back and forth

You are right. But what happened yesterday was a break away from my normal activity which is having lunch at home at 12 noon. My office is near our home so I go home for lunch and eat simple but healthy food.

Once in a while I like a fast burger, but not very often. I like my own cooking a lot better!

When McDonald's first arrive in the Phil. early 80's I would always frequent that branch in Morayta, it was like a must go place for me. As I grow.older and becoming health conscious I realize it's better to eat those foods my mother would prepare for us such as fish with malunggay (moringa).

@florelway I was already in Germany when McDo arrived in Pinas. I think that is the reason why I am not fond of eating their food. I prefer the food my late mother cooked when we were there on holiday.

@thelme55 nothing beats cooking from scratch. There's this kind of fish they call palaigit and it's so delicious especially if grilled. But I don't eat on weekdays because it causes a frequent visit to the bathroom.

Big thanks indeed. Fastest way to fill hungry tummy. Anyway what I like with McDonald's burger is the mustard and pickle, just the perfect add on to the meat.
