Hurry up and wait

Patience is not my virtue. I have been on hold for two hours and I see it being another two or more hours before this government agency picks up to answer my five-minute question. I do my best not to get frustrated at how much of my life is wasted just waiting. Waiting on hold, waiting in line, waiting at the red lights, waiting for the internet to ever work. lol
I did have a really good thing happen yesterday, but I will write about it tomorrow. It could have been a lot better if we hadn't had to WAIT for EIGHT hours for answer. Still my husband and I lost a lot of our joy from being put on an emotional yo-yo waiting for an answer.
Over the years I have come to except that you can't control situations you can control your reactions to them and I use that time to make lists in my mind. Travel to distant shores lol What do you do when you are stuck waiting? Thanks for stopping by.

I try my best to avoid the phone whenever possible. If I can find an answer online, Ip prefers doing it that way. When it comes to things like "packages or deliveries, I tend to give a grace period in my mind and don't start to worry until after that time has passed. I tend to, in a sense, forget about it until it's past due.

Unfortunately, I had to call. It was a government agency. I'm surprised that they still don't use horse and buggies and the telegram service. lol I don't get impatient waiting for packages. I knew a lady that worked for UPS and she busted her butte. Take care.

@DearAphrodite Well, everyone, including the government, have websites. And, that's my go-to.
