Our garbage was not picked up

Our street is private but it's still the department of sanitation that picks up our garbage.
I have no idea what happened but the garbage on our street was never picked up this Thursday like it was supposed to.
I thought maybe they didn't come to collect the garbage at all but it seems that the street next to us had its garbage taken away.
The garbage can is standing outside and because it's been raining it's probably full of water.
I remember it happened once before. And very recently only our garbage was not picked up but everyone else's was.
Good thing it's not summer or very hot and that it doesn't really smell or that would have been a major problem.
Next collection day is Monday. They better pick it up then.

I know how you feel since the city not picking up the garbage on their scheduled day will cause you headaches.

I don't get why the garbage wasn't picked up. It wasn't a national holiday. No snow storm. No reason to not pick it up.

@lovebuglena I know how you feel since the city usually has a great track record of picking up garbage on time.

If it is a national holiday or maybe a snow storm they won't come but otherwise they should always come.

Nope. But I hope they pick it up Monday. Monday and Thursday is when they collect garbage in our area.

@lovebuglena Oh sorry - short for fourteen nights - two weeks.

@jaboUK Thanks for clarifying. That's a long wait to get rid of garbage. Why such a long time between garbage collection?

Maybe just an oversight by the garbage men. It happens occasionally in our area too

To not pick up garbage from an entire street is not an oversight.
