I know I'm past due for an update; and I will get to that; but I wanted you to know about something for Halloween night.
Fantasy Fest usually runs from October 22-31 in Key West, Florida. This year it has been cancelled due to COVID-19. However, that has not stopped the residents and travelers from dressing up and celebrating on Duval Street in Key West.
Starting on October 21 they began dressing up in all sorts of costumes...some of them are PG rated...and hitting the bars and Duval Street in Key West. We have been watching them on the weekends. The sidewalks are so crowded that people are walking in the street. Unfortunately a good portion of them are NOT wearing masks.
If you want to tune in to the festivities, type in "Kevins webcam" (only Webcam #2 is working right now) or "Duval Street webcam" or "Sloppy Joes webcam" in your browser and watch from about 8 or 9 pm when things get really started.
Enjoy! And Happy Halloween everyone!
Thanks to JJ for posting the links!

I was in Key West one year for Halloween. Key West is a really funny place where people walk their Iguana as we usually walk dogs. I surely would not go there this year, I am sure they are not wearing masks and there is not a lot of common sense there.

I've never been to Key West. And have never seen people walk their iguanas. That would be an interesting sight.

@lovebuglena Key West is a weird place, I have met the weirdest people there. More old Caribbean than any Caribbean island I visited.

At 9:30 there were so many people that the police shut down two ends of Duval Street so the people could walk down the middle of the street.

No, I don't think I want to watch a lot of people without masks. I wonder how many cases they will have in 10 days?

@LindaOHio Well if they are young and healthy they probably won't be any worse for wear but their older relatives are at risk.

I shudder to think about it. There were hundreds of people there over the weekend.

@LindaOHio I don't like masks because with asthma, it's hard to breathe with any exertions. But I wear one no matter where I go.

They could have created costumes that would look good with masks. So at least they are observing protocols.

Interesting that people found a way to celebrate Halloween anyway.
