On Amazon Prime, they're showing BORAT: SUBSEQUENT MOVIEFILM. So I figured I ought to watch the first BORAT first. In short, it's forgettable. Not a bad thing; it's not "painful to watch," and star Sacha Baron Cohen is not UN-talented Kind of a 'classic story'---modern prince falls in love with a princess who's way out of his league (which is the way I imagine it is for all the fairy-tale princes---who 'hear about a princess in distress,' and swoop in to "win" her no matter HOW ugly & discourteous they are), travels halfway around the world to win her, is cruelly rejected by her, and realizes he only ever wanted to be at home with the sweet girl he met on the way.

Right; definitely not something you want the family to gather to watch, nor even one you want to watch with your friends (or alone). It might be best to watch in a screenwriting class. I took a screenwriting class once, and we watched a Janeane Garofalo movie ... oh, and DOGMA; but I don't remember the Janeane Garofalo movie.
