This afternoon is another hot day here in my place. So my daughter and I talk about how nice if we could go swimming pool, but we won't go tho (because of this pandemic). Our conversation reminds me about an accident around 9 years ago. Me, my husband and my daughter went to swimming pool nearby. It was pool for kids, but they had 1 pool for adult. It wasn't deep. Just around the my chest. My daughter thrown a rubber duck to the middle of the pool, so I wanted to take it. My husband was busy with my daughter. I couldn't swim, so I just walk to the middle pool, but the floor was too slippery. I slipped and panic. I couldn't breath, my lung burnt. I tried so hard to reach anything nearby, lucky me I reached the edge of the pool. Whenever I think about that I got goosebumps. I know it silly. if I wasn't panic, I could just stood up and walked. But that time I was seriously though I was going to die. Have you ever experienced something like that?

Good thing nothing worse happened to you back then. My experience of drowning was when my college friends and I were at the wave pool and one submerged from the waves, I was surprised when tried to reach for my shoulders. Another classmate luckily saved her. The other one was during our swimming lesson in high school. I was doing backstroke for practical exam when I suddenly had leg cramps. Our teacher reached for me through the pool cleaner and my friend dived into the pool, raised me up from my waist. That friend is always one of the best I have until now.

Yes, I am lucky. I kept thinking about that accident for weeks. Up until now, I still traumatic. Everytime we go to swimming pool, I just watch my kids and their dad from a far.

Ah yes, I miss swimming too. I don't go because of pandemic too. How scary! I could see where panic would kick in and make you do that

I did the same as your experience when I was in the middle of school. It's so scary for me cause the pool was so deep

In my case, the pool wasn't that deep, but panic made it worse. But it was really traumatic. I stayed gloomy for weeks.

When we panicked, we can't even think rationally. Been there, done that. Luckily we made it by luck until now.

I can understand how the panic could set in and cause that. You should learn how to swim when the pandemic is over.

My older sister deliberately made me to drown under water.Because I was in the water and played so long when I was a kid. After few minutes she took me out

No and I don't want it happen. Though I experience small accident like when the passenger jeepney we rode hit by another vehicle. No serious injury though.

I did when I was still studying in college . We have this subject in physical education it was swimming lesson. Our school has an indoor pool where they teach students . It started with 4 ft . until 8 ft the deepest. I was not that tall I was 4'9 .I know the basics of swimming but when I know its already deep I panic. Our swimming instructor taught us everything. So we have this test , We will be swimming from 8ft deep till we reach 4ft and we will be graded according to the strokes we can perform. I am nervous because I know 8ft is too deep for me but I shrugged it off I need to pass. I jumped into the water and when my feet reached the pool tiles I immediately kicked up thats how I will float back our instructor taught us that technique .The moment I felt I was floating on top I did the freestyle going to the shallow feet then I felta little tired and I was running out of breath our instructor thought I was drowning that time but I was not she extended her swimming stick for me to hold on but I did not do it I did the backstroke this time since I was getting tired alrrady.I finished the exam and passed .

I am glad you passed your exam and not drowned. Are you good at swimming in the deep now?
