@Janet357 It might not be an exaggeration. It has been said that if a storm landfall, there is a tendency for it to get weaker. Or along the way, it can change it's course. I rather be prepared than be devastated. I do not want like Ondoy or Yolanda to happened again.

@Janet357 Weather forecasts are never perfect in their predictions. It may look scientific and accurate but it is actually a best guesstimate of what to expect. But forecasting have greatly improved compared to mamy decades ago where typhoons where reported when it is bery near landfall already.
