Wishing you all the best!

A new week has started, yesterday it all went well at work. This week's shift is swing shift, however I'll work until 9 PM due to Covid-19 and the restrictions when it is night time. Last weekend I had blast, my sister's birthday was on Oct 31st, so you can imagine it was all decorated for Halloween. It was so good! In fact there were kids knocking on her door for trick or treating, on the bright side their parents were with them. I couldn't stay longer because of the transportation, in Santiago due to the current situation regarding the pandemic on weekends there's still quarantine so as the subway as buses work until 9 PM so before that time I made my way back home, I couldn't eat cake =( anyway I dropped by and gave her a birthday present. I am having lunch now, and I'll go out shopping in a few minutes because I need to get myself some jeans and joggers because my current pants ripped =(. How you've been guys?

I needed them, and bought myself a new joggers and pants today Anna. It felt amazing buying something with the money I made in the first two weeks of work.

@jvicentevalera I know how you feel, I remember my first salary, I was 18. I spent everything to buy gifts for my father, my mother and my younger brother.

@LadyDuck that's so sweet. In fact I thought of sending money back to Venezuela so they can buy food. But I'll do it by the end of October because I need to pay my debts here in Chile.

Now that everything is slowly coming back to normal, it is also time to start buying things we put off. Good morning to a sunny day, friend.

@jvicentevalera I did. But I´m sleepy as I stayed up for the elections. Absurd as there is still much to count.

Glad you got to celebrate your sister's birthday. Happy Belated birthday to her. Yesterday I had no power from 2am to 4pm. I slept, read some, and colored some. Sunday I got a new refrigerator. Today the power went out again a few mins ago and came back on.

@jvicentevalera The first time it went out was because a drunk driver hit a power pole. I don't know about the second time it went out. My new refrigerator is smaller than I thought, but it works for me.

Thanks for your thoughtful wishes Jessica! I bet your new refrigerator is fabulous and works wonderful! Is there any reason why the power gets cut?

It was a lot of fun. I had to leave the party earlier because of the restrictions of ttanportations due Covid-19. So I had to head to my place earlier.

@jvicentevalera I see. Here, there was a time when the public transpo got completely suspended. I would have ask my sister to let me take home a slice. Lol but that's me. I just really love cakes.

It sounds like you had a wonderful time at your sister's birthday party minus the cake! Hope you find some nice jeans and joggers. You can't be running around in public with ripped jeans!

@DianneN I was so happy when I was able to buy my own close. Back in Venezuela, due to the inflation rate it is impossible to buy clothes, it is so expensive.
