What would you do if you got one million dollars?

Would you save or spend? Would you carry on living in your current home? How would you use this money to increase your wealth? Slow and steady is a blue collar worker. Yet someone that wins one million dollars on the lottery spends all the money in the next 10 years.

Sue 21. I live in a 3 bedroom semi detached bungalow. It is only three miles from the sea. It is in a peaceful and quiet location. There is a land of grass with two trees next to it. I have two toy poodles.

@maximax8 I must have been reading your mind then but this is what I would do with that cash. However I would buy a border collie and a German shepherd that´s how we differ.

I would invest with a Swiss Insurance Company to receive a monthly income. I would not waste the money.

Anna taking a monthly income is a clever idea. You could also get lots of interest.

@maximax8 The interests are not exceptional, but a monthly income would be a good way to avoid to waste the money. You only get a little bit every month.

@maximax8 I would buy a new home and make sure it is safe and secure for us. I would donate to our soldiers, donate to the women that cannot get a divorce from their husbands and donate to animal shelters.

Jim Bauer. Thanks for suggesting investing. Sometimes the money will move along at 8 percent interest per year. Therefore you would get a lot richer.

@maximax8 Yep. That's the idea. If I get a windfall like that, my first and foremost goal would be to make it last forever, or for at least as long as I could.

Enough for me to last for another 30 years. But of course, i would finally pay my social security big so i can get a huge pay back later. I wouldn't live a life of luxury since it's not practical. I won't make the same mistakes like those past lottery winners.

@maximax8 I think so. I am way past my retirement age so I would not have much need for such a big amount so better put it to good use.

I would continue living my current life but invest the money somewhere I trust. Then when the money has grown more, I will consider raising my living standards while I continue to invest in more wealth.
