Lay eggs

Hi guys, I wonder why my chicken lay eggs even though she is not breed...she only eats cracked corn..is it possible?

Hens will lay eggs even if they are virgins, its their menstruation. The egg will turn into chicks if they mated, if not it's just infertile eggs.

I don't know if you're serious or making a joke. Assuming you're serious, I'll answer. No matter the breed, Chickens lay eggs as long as they're healthy enough to do so. However, without a rooster to fertilize the egg, the egg won't become a chick. What you feed your chicken doesn't matter. As long as it's healthy.

Thanks for the information ..now we cannot hope that we will see chicks..the eggs will then be for our food consumption..at least one egg daily..

The hen will lay eggs even though the male is not fertilized. However, the eggs are infertile and will not hatch.
