So I got a letter from a low income apartment I applied at today and it was not good news I wanted to hear. I got turned down due to eviction and background check. Wow, I will never get out of here. I even got turned down by other landlords. I'm still trying and not giving up but I am pretty hurt about it

Do you live alone? Why do you want to transfer to another apartment?

@carebear29 I am so sorry, it must be difficult to dwell in a shelter.
But don't lose hope. It was written that "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head."
Perhaps I am not best to render unsolicited advice for the homeless because I have always had a home to dwell all my life. I am grateful for that.
Yet, our Lord Jesus has set the example. He was born in a manger. His foster father was a carpenter but then He walked and walked throughout Judea.
Man is a pilgrim on earth.
Pray. Ask our Lord to provide a roof on your head. He will answer in His time.
Will keep you in my prayers.

I'm sorry, rejection hurts. Count your blessings you have a roof over your head, and keep trying. Evictions will always come back to bite you.

Unfortunately that's the risk you take with getting evicted and having a bad background. Hope you get some help.

Michelle has a good suggestion. Hope that you have some good luck finding a place.

You need to contact a church they can often offer help to people who have a background like yours.
Unfortunately your past choices and actions have consequences.
Hope it all gets straightened out
