Dinner plans

Tonight I was gonna boil some basmati rice, steam some broccoli, pop frozen chicken with shiitake mushrooms in the toaster oven, mix it all together in a skillet and voila. And before that I was gonna make fresh mozzarella and heirloom tomato with dried basil (don't have fresh one) and olive oil.
I had a late launch though and am not sure if I will be hungry much in time for dinner. Hubby works until 8 pm so by the time he gets in it should be after 9pm, unless he leaves earlier. Hopefully, I won't be pretty full by then.
Tomorrow (November 6th) will be our four year wedding anniversary. Feels like we've been married much longer than that. Not sure what to make for tomorrow night's dinner. Wouldn't mind going out somewhere but we usually go out Saturday night so not sure hubby will wanna do that. Unless he has something planned, though I doubt it because he didn't mention it.

That frozen chicken wasn't really good. Wasn't a fan of the taste. I will not buy it again.

@lovebuglena I still live here. Nice!!! And I do not plan on moving. I guess I am a New Yorker at heart. How long are you here now? I just checked your profile. You wrote books, nice. I am impressed. I wish I could write a book. Maybe someday.

Thank you! Was wondering if there is anyone from NYC here. It's cool to meet a New Yorker. I used to live in Brooklyn when my parents and I came to this country.

@inertia4 I moved to the US (NYC) in November of 1992. Been living in NYC ever since. First in Brooklyn and then in '98 in Staten Island where I am now.

He surprised me with a beautiful bouquet that just got delivered. I guess it is weird that it feels we've been married much longer. Wonder if that feeling will change.

@lovebuglena I am glad you offered you a beautiful bouquet. The next year we celebrate our 50th and it seems to me that we married only a few years ago.

We usually like to do something special for our anniversary every year. Usually we get out of town for the weekend somewhere relatively close. I am sure that is what we will do for the next one too. We have been married 13 years and together for 15. Happy Anniversary, by the way.

Thank you! Hope you get to do something special for your anniversary. Hubby came home after work yesterday (around 7:20 pm) and decided to be on FB posting stuff related to voter fraud and this election and browsing his news feed. It was finally around 9:10 or so that he finally put the phone down and we started prepping dinner, which involved heating up canned Progresso soup and me making fresh mozzarella and heirloom tomato with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Shortly after, we had tea and small pastries his mom had given us Wednesday. And while eating he was watching Tucker Carlson Tonight. After we finished eating he went back to his phone and FB. That was how I spent our anniversary.

@porwest On our anniversary, we ended up eating canned Progresso soup (potato, broccoli, cheddar) and I made fresh mozzarella with heirloom tomato in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. And we had tea and small pastries we had for dessert. Saturday we went out for sushi. It was great but weird as we were the only diners at the time.

It's funny but we were at his parents' house yesterday and his mom asked me if I remember that tomorrow is our anniversary.
