It's 3:00 AM and I am wide awake.

I woke at 1:00 unable to go back to sleep. I think this crazy election is weighing on my mind. It should never have been this close. For most of these past two hours. I have perused the news, and of course, nothing has changed since I went to bed. While I believe the outcome is inevitable at this point; Biden continues to gain ground in the battleground states, I refuse to let my hopes get strong until we have a certain unequivocal finale. There are just too many ballots still out, uncounted, and this race is so close anything is still possible. Maybe tomorrow, we will see a winner declared, but I fear it will be next week sometime. I saw a remark by a Scottish politician last night that I love, "... a wee bit of light is peeking out of the clouds." This election has been one for the record books in so many ways, The winner will have the distinct honor of having received more votes than any politician in the history of the United States. It says a lot that people who normally do not vote found themselves motivated to get up and get out there and make their voices heard. For people in these battleground states, they are getting to see how important their one vote really is. For the rest of us, it is a strong reminder that when we get our minds together we can move mountains. Well good night world, I am going to try again to get some sleep.

You are right, hold your breath and way to say "victory". This is a special election, many things are going to happen for the first time... even a loser who refuses to concede.

CNN is now predicting PA to Biden, that will make him the New President --- there is always the chance that this was too early and things can change, however unlikely. But it looks like this may be decided.... finally

I hope your family crisis is nothing too serious. For me, I am often up at 4, but I generally sleep okay, most of the time.

Same what happened to me last night I was not able to return to sleep until seven in the morning. I'm also trying to peek at the live update from AP.

I never looked at us as unstable, but you are right to point that out. This country has been on a bumpy ride for the past four years. Thank you.

@cperry2 Oh sorry I didnt mean it that way. Just that elections cause instability in leadership and the country until there is a new leader.

@yoalldudes No worries, and from outside the US, we probably did look unstable. I only thought Trump was unstable.
