I write my discussion first in the notepad and after that i upload here and secondly i use it to store some passwords of the different sites.
There was a time when notepads were used more - to save space mainly. The MS word documents use up too much space for even small texts - mainly because of the formats, intendation and the metadat. Moreover, it takes a few seconds to open. Notepads open quickly, and doenst support too many text formats which makes, copy+paste, or to-do lists, saving links or site names, and jotting down other quick references or song lyrics, much easier.
DO you still use notepad?what is it for?

I don't use notepad, or I rarely-if-ever do. File size for word documents don't bother me, and it's very screen reader-friendly. If I'm writing code, I might use a note pad, but I don't write code often anymore.

@Raj7779 Yeah. I used to have to write HTML code or edit it for a message board I was an admin on. I also toyed around with doing a bit of HTML work for a website when Geocities was a thing.

Online notes are also very popular now a days because they store our data on cloud and it's very easy to access from any device
